I’ve told many friends about this iconic Bezos moment.

It was in a video, where the interviewer asked Jeff Bezos…

“Do you know that some people hate you?”

Jeff’s blasé response…

“I do. But do you know what they don’t hate? Cheap prices and fast shipping.

*Boom*… Mic drop to Bezos. Exposing the fickle nature of capitalism, whilst also giving you a recipe to rise above the noise.

Turns out, I must have dreamt the entire thing. I found the video again in order to write this article — and he does not say that.

However, the message is still there. There are two eternal rules in commerce:

  • Cost, and;
  • Convenience

If you can make things cheaper and make it easier and/or faster for the customer to receive…
