Why I’m Starting My Journey as a Solopreneur Now (and Why it Might be a Good Idea for You Too)
It’s never too late to start. And Baby Boomers have some distinct advantages.
Most people hate their jobs.
Case in point: About 57% of Americans opt to take their social security benefits sometime before their full retirement age; despite a permanent 30% cut in benefits.
What this tells you is that most people don’t derive much satisfaction from their work.
Most people are not working at their jobs because they really want to be there. They are working out of necessity.
What’s more, recent surveys found that 54% of retirees say their benefits are not enough to cover basic expenses.
What this means is that most people will need to continue working out of necessity, whether they want to or not. For most people this means working a survival job at an hourly wage.
But there’s another path that’s a lot more satisfying than a regular job.
It’s the path of a solopreneur. A path you carve out for yourself.
Most people won’t dare to venture into solopreneurship, because it’s too risky. But the rewards can be greater than the risks.
