Slap #006: You Don’t Get What You Want. You Get What You Believe You Deserve.
Your results are a mirror. And you programmed the reflection.
Let’s stop pretending you are confused.
You know what you want.
You know what to do.
So why aren’t you getting there?
Because deep down, you don’t actually believe you deserve it.
Your actions are not limited by knowledge, they are limited by identity.
You’re not chasing a dream. You’re protecting a self-image.
And right now, your self-image is capped.
You’ve subconsciously decided:
• How much success is “reasonable.”
• How much happiness is “realistic.”
• How much money, love, growth is “possible”.
That ceiling that you built it — now you’re calling it “reality”!
You can hustle. You can push.
But unless you raise your internal standard, you’ll sabotage every win.
• You’ll find ways to shrink it.
• Disqualify it.
• Or quietly crash it.
You don’t rise to your dreams. You settle at the level of your self-concept.
So what now?
Stop upgrading your goals and start upgrading who you think you are.
• Write it down.
• Speak it out loud.
• Repeat it until your brain forgets how to play small.
Because this isn’t about “earning” it.
It’s about finally accepting that you’re allowed to have it.
Hope this one struck (pun always intended) a chord as well. Sing.
Until tomorrow.
