Slap #010: You’re Not Busy. You’re Avoiding.
Busyness is a socially acceptable form of fear.
Every time you tell someone how busy you are…
Every time your calendar looks like a game of Tetris played by a kid…
Every time you say, “I just have so much on my plate”…
Ask yourself: Is any of it actually moving your life forward?
Because being busy feels productive.
But it often means you’re:
• Avoiding a decision
• Dodging discomfort
• Hiding from something bigger
You’re not productive. You are in motion with no direction.
Busyness is fear in disguise.
You fill your schedule so you don’t have to face the blank space.
Because blank space = thinking
Thinking = clarity
And clarity = confronting the one thing you’re pretending you don’t know:
What actually matters.
So today?
Cancel something.
Decline something.
Choose one thing that’s yours and make space for it.
Because you’re not a task list.
You’re not a calendar.
You’re a creator. A builder. A human becoming.
Busy is easy. Clear is terrifying. But that’s where the good stuff lives.
Hope this one struck (pun always intended) a chord as well. Sing.
Until tomorrow.
When was the last time you were busy as hell but secretly knew none of it really mattered? What would you drop if you were being honest?
