Slap #035: Let That Ship Sink
Not every pain deserves a monument in your mind.
You keep dragging old wounds like they’re heirlooms.
Replaying scenes.
Rewriting arguments.
Reviving insults as if they were sacred chants.
But here’s the truth:
You’re not healing. You’re hoarding.
Letting go is not weakness.
It’s maintenance.
You can’t run a high-functioning life with emotional malware.
Holding on doesn’t make you stronger.
It makes you tired.
Cynical.
Distrustful of joy.
And let’s be real:
There’s no romance in being proud of your pain.
Suffering isn’t a status symbol. It’s a delay tactic.
You’re not obligated to suffer.
Not for the lesson.
Not for the closure.
Not because someone didn’t say sorry.
You can release it without a grand ceremony.
Just let it rot somewhere that is not inside you.
Hope this one struck (pun always intended) a chord as well. Sing.
Until tomorrow.
What are you still carrying that should’ve been buried by now?
