Slap #037: Later Is a Lie
If it mattered, it would be on your calendar already.
You don’t need more time.
You don’t need to “feel ready.”
You definitely don’t need another Monday, another New Year or Birthday.
You need to admit you are not going to do it… unless you do it now.
“Later” is fear in a nice suit and impeccable manners.
It sounds polite.
It sounds smart.
But it is just procrastination doing its best impression of being logical and comforting.
You do not postpone things you care about.
You protect them. You make time. You move.
The clock does not owe you anything.
You will blink and a year will be gone.
Still talking.
Still prepping.
Still journaling about the thing you never launched.
The goals of 2024 were renamed to the goals of 2025. No more pushing those goals any more. If they matter, do it. If they don’t substitute them with the ones that do.
Hope this one struck (pun always intended) a chord as well. Sing.
Until tomorrow.
What is the one thing you keep putting off for “later” that your future self is sick of hearing about?
