Slap #038: Not Every Struggle Is Noble
Sometimes you’re just addicted to the chaos.
Some of us don’t know who we are without a problem to fix.
We build identities around being “resilient,” “strong,” “relentless.”
But if your peace makes you anxious and your worth depends on how tired you are…
You’re not chasing growth.
You’re chasing noise because silence scares you.
You are not “fighting the good fight.”
You are just fighting.
Burning energy in ten directions and calling it passion.
But guess what?
Struggle is not always growth.
Sometimes it’s just… distraction.
You confuse hard with important.
You assume if it’s exhausting, it must be valuable.
If it’s loud, it must be urgent.
If it’s messy, it must be meaningful.
No. Sometimes it’s just you sabotaging peace because peace feels boring.
Stop glorifying chaos.
A stable life is not a weakness.
Simplicity is not failure.
Quiet doesn’t mean you’re behind.
Not every fire needs your hands in it.
Not every storm is yours to dance in.
Hope this one struck (pun always intended) a chord as well. Sing.
Until tomorrow.
What chaos have you been romanticizing just to feel something?
