1. Drive to Boston in a car with New York State license plates.
2. Park said car in the vicinity of Fenway Park, especially on a day when the Red Sox are playing at home.
3. Download the ParkBoston parking app on your smartphone, correctly enter the parking zone and your license plate number, and prepay a sufficient duration of time for a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood.

Note: Step 3 is entirely optional, and has no bearing on the outcome, as long as Steps 1 and 2 are adhered to.

3 Steps to Getting the Above Parking Ticket Dismissed

1. Extract the relevant reference number from the parking app.
2. Call the Ticket Information hotline indicated on your parking ticket.
3. Explain your predicament, file a dispute and await the ruling by mail. (Do not attempt a fake Boston accent — they will see/hear right through it. If you encounter any resistance, ask for Linda. She’s nice.)
