It was a matter of time till he got his next job, and now Lane Kiffin is taking his mediocre talents to FAU.

Lane Kiffin looks at every job (and relationship) as a stepping stone.

He sticks around less than his recruits’ fathers.

Nobody is in a constant job hunt more than Lane Kiffin.

Lane Kiffin’s homepage

For the past decade, Lane Kiffin has positioned himself as someone “in the running” for every single open college football coaching position.

Lane Kiffin now gets his 4th opportunity to be a head coach and he has played it perfectly.

If Lane had gone to Houston, the expectations would be to match or top this year’s magical season.

Instead, Kiffin decided to go to FAU, a historically terrible program who has never had a good season.

Best Case Scenario: FAU wins Conference USA, Lane leaves for a Top 10 head coaching position

Worst Case Scenario: FAU remains terrible, and Lane Kiffin starts the process over again by becoming an offensive coordinator at a Top 10 program.

Zero pressure and any success will lead to a better gig.

P.S: Between Joey Saltwater and Howard Schnellenberger, I don’t think the ladies of Boca Raton will make it out alive.
