I Wrote A Eulogy For The Death of the Russell Westbrook x Cameron Payne Pregame Dance
Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.
It is with much sadness that I am here today to say farewell to our NBA hype crew of Russell Westbrook and Cameron Payne.
Cameron Payne has been traded to the Bulls and with that, the best 30 seconds in sports is no more.#NBATwitter is in grief, our country is in mourning and our world is in shock.
The #NBATradeDeadline was supposed to be a happy day filled with WojBombs and memes making fun of the Knicks ineptitude. Instead, we have lost an innocent duo which transcended the sports world with it’s spirit that brightened our lives.
To have abruptly lost the lit’test of dances is heartbreaking — it has come as such a shock to us all. Their run was far too brief. We had so many dances left to see.
Thankfully for all of us, the memory of their dance will never extinguish from our hearts and minds as their GIFs will live on forever in our Twitter timelines…
