I used to be someone who hated on the idea of having the Raiders move out of Oakland, but the more I thought about it, the more benefits it has for selfish reasons.

Reasons Why The Raiders Moving to Las Vegas is Good

Easier Road Game

A trip to the Oakland Coliseum would elicit fear in the minds of opposing players as “Football’s Most Notorious Fans” makes themselves known.

The team now will move to Las Vegas, a city which won’t be able to create a raucous home crowd because its city is made up only of two types of citizens — transplants who already have their NFL allegiance and lunatics who aren’t football fans.

The lack of home support will make road trips against the Raiders a much more winnable game for your favorite NFL team.

Closer to Legalization of Sports Betting

The best way to legalize sports betting is with a continuous series of baby steps. Having sports franchises move to Las Vegas is one small step in support of the legalization of sports betting and just for that, it’s a win for sports fans.

Las Vegas Hosted Super Bowl

A new franchise means a new stadium and a new stadium equates to the opportunity to host a Super Bowl. Can you imagine how bananas the Super Bowl will be when it’s in Las Vegas?!!

The city might run out of alcohol.

The buffets might run out of crab legs.

The strippers might become millionaires.

The casino owners might become billionaires.

Just thinking about it makes me want to buy stock in Las Vegas casinos like now. It’s not gambling if it’s the stock market….right?

Less NFL Parking Lot Fatalities

When Donald Trump was talking about Bad Hombres, he was talking about drunk Raiders fans at the Oakland Coliseum. The exit from an Oakland Raiders home game for visiting team fans is as dangerous a place as it gets. After each home game, Raiders fans are drunk, angry that they lost and looking to fight away their feelings.

At the Oakland Coliseum, if any visiting team fan makes eye contact with a Raiders fan, they are hereby consenting to a fight. More people are killed at Raiders game each year than by shark attacks.

By moving the Raiders out of Oakland, the NFL is saving lives and if we know 1 thing about the NFL, it’s that they care about fan and player safety.

If you liked this blog, I would greatly appreciate if you could hit the heart button!
