The #SoGoneChallenge is what makes the internet great. It makes no sense and you don’t know how it started, but nobody cares and the world can’t have enough. If you live under a rock or aren’t on Instagram (the same thing), the #SoGoneChallenge is a social challenge in which you rap to Monica’s “So Gone” instrumental.

Naturally, athletes wanted to partake in the movement. Below is a ranking of some of the biggest athletes who have participated in the #SoGoneChallenge.

#5 Dwyane Wade

Review: Good job, good effort? I give him credit for sharing this with the world because if we are being honest, it was weak. Dwyane’s rapping career might have worked in Miami because nobody speaks English but it sure won’t work in Chi-town.

#4 Iman Shumpert

Review: Some people loved it, some people hated it. I give him credit for taking the #SoGoneChallenege on the toilet, but the execution just wasn’t there. Between the illuminated background light coupled with him mumbling at times, it made it hard for me to rank him near the top of the pack.

#3 Le’Veon Bell

Review: His flow was clean. His timing was on point. Le’Veon killed it and was a great lone representative for the NFL. We need more NFL #SoGoneChallenges.

#2 Rasheed Wallace

Review: His rap might not have been as good as Le’Veon Bell’s but he gets major points for doing the entire thing while driving what looks like at least over 45 MPH. It’s great to see that Rasheed Wallace has a potential way to make some extra income once he burns through his career earnings.

#1 Damian Lillard

Review: The clear cut #1 athlete in the #SoGoneChallenge. Although, since he is a rapper on the side and has his own single, it might be unfair to include him on the list. Either way, the Blazers PG killed it.

Congrats, Damian!
