A’s Wrap Party in Ottawa

Date #855 — Wednesday, June 29, 2016

A: We did it! We wrapped our season and B was able to drive up and attend the wrap party with me. I was so thrilled and it felt so surreal to see B. I was filled with butterflies and excitement. I felt like I had so much catching up to do — flirting, joking, laughing, crying… All of the above. I felt like I had a million things to tell B and that they wanted to come out all at once but instead I just kept taking deep breathes waiting for the feeling to pass, otherwise it would all come out garbled and unclear.

I was very thrilled to see B, though. I know I was quiet and odd and B told me I was acting weird but I couldn’t help it. All the feels.

B: I drove the 4 hours to Ottawa to hang out with A once she was done filming and to make it to the wrap party in time.

I met her at the hotel she’d been living out of. It was really interesting to see her room and how it was set up. The place looked like a mini version of our apartment. There were familiar things scattered around an unfamiliar room.

I like that A wants me to meet the people she works with. I have similar feelings. I’m not sure where they come from. I do like hearing A introduce me with such pride in her voice. Also, it was good to put faces to names. I know some of the people she works for and I got to meet new ones.

At the end of the night I drove the Director and Director of Photography home. It’s the second time I’ve done this at the end of a wrap party. I joked with A about that.

I was excited to get back to the hotel and spend the next few days hanging out with A in Ottawa.
