Driving Home + Indian Food

Date #858 — Saturday, July 2, 2016

B: Our goal was to leave Ottawa relatively early to drive the 4 hours to Whitby to have time with the family and then go to Toronto.

We managed to fit everything on to one cart and get everything in to the van in one trip. Being the efficiency-obssesed person I am it was great! We got one more coffee from The Ministry of Coffee before hitting the road and then we were off.

Back in Whitby we relaxed and met up with the whole family. My younger sister (who we hung out with in Ottawa a few days ago) had travelled back to Whitby. The three of us ordered Indian food and went to pick it up. It felt like a little reunion.

A: We packed up my crazy hotel room and headed home to Whitby where we’d meet B’s family for dinner. It was so lovely to see them and our nibling who was SO BIG — mind blown. Babies grow fast!!! Okay, we all know this. But it felt like I’d been gone for a YEAR.

Sometimes it’s nice to see that things were still pretty much the same — except for the baby omg!

I had a really amazing time with B and tried my best to keep B in the loop with my feelings. It was mind boggling trying to slow my brain down and come back to the real world, but B is so supportive and understanding that it was possible and okay. After all, it is our SECOND production together and I’d say we did really, really well. Next time it will get easier and I’m SO happy that I can say that. I believe in our relationship so much! Anything is possible.
