Hanging in the Cabin — Adirondacks Day 1

A: This was my first time at an ACC hut and it was amazing! Because we were there on the Thursday before the long weekend it was deserted! To our surprise actually… It was eerie and beautiful and I felt so many positive feels just being out there and feeling safe and excited and engaged in great conversation.

B’s sis brought us little individual cups of wine, too, and it was so lovely!! A glass in great company. I love being outside!!

B: The Keene Farm Alpine Club of Canada Hut was massive and beautiful. We were the only ones there I think we were so lucky.

We unpacked our stuff, got the propane lights working, and lit the wood stoves to heat up the place. I was so shocked to realize we stayed up to 4am chatting in that beautiful hut.

It was really nice to watch A and my little sister bonding. We don’t all get to hang out that often and it was nice to be out of the car and in wilderness. I couldn’t wait for the adventures we would have the rest of the weekend…
