Home Opener!!! Jays Game 1

A: Love this time of year! I get so excited again for baseball — almost MORE excited than I used to get for back to school (I loved school). I think B being such a HUGE Jays fan helps. I’ve always loved baseball but it’s just so much better when you get to share it with people who love it too (before it was just my dad and I and he’s not too social).

We’re also huge fans of Stroman. He really earned our love with his amazing attitude and this great TO pride article he wrote!

B: This is one of my favourite days of the year. I love the fanfare and community and the marking of another summer filled with baseball.

Last year I missed the opening celebrations and so this year A and I decided to arrive early. We bought tickets for my parents and it was great to have them there in the 500′s with us.

A and I agreed that the opening celebrations and the overall mood this year was more subdued. We couldn’t put our fingers on it, but something was definitely missing. I didn’t feel that pit-of-my-gut emotional pull.

Still, it was so amazing. I love baseball games with A.
