3 things that you are grateful for:

- For the rain

- For meditation (the ability to be present)

- For the diversity of life

1 thing that you can do better:

- Learning, retaining information

Notes:

Thinking errors for the art of thinking clearly by Rolf Dobelli:

21. Paradox of Choice (less is more), a lot of choices fewer decisions (there is no perfect decision)

22. Liking bias: a) to be attractive on the outside, b) similar with what you know, c) to like you

23. Endowment effect: don’t cling to things, the illusion that what you own is more expensive than the average. All you have is temporary in your possession. The reality is that you came and you will go necked from here.

24. The inevitability of unlikely events (coincidence). More surprising would be to not happen at all.

25. Conformity and groupthink, be aware of the illusion that group thinking creates (ex. If everyone doesn’t say anything it must be right)

26. Neglect of probability, we respond to the magnitude of an event but not its probability

27. Scarcity error, our drive to what is forbidden or is the last piece of a limited offer.

28. Base rate neglect, assumptions based on anchors that are not reflecting reality

29. Gambler’s fallacy — there is no balancing force of the universe, but there are exceptions(ex: casino)

Nice joke from the author:

“a mathematician is afraid of flying due to the small risk of a terrorist attack. So, on every flight he takes a bomb with him in his hand luggage. ‘The probability of having a bomb on the plane is very low,’ he reasons, ‘and the probability of having two bombs on the same plane is virtually zero!”

30. The anchors, we use them when guessing something, when you hear something related with what are you goanna say you adapt you response based on that anchor. Not always in your favor.
