Everything that I read and watch today lead me to flow, that optimal state for performance and being. Starting with the book where Daniel Goleman show me how anxiety destroys mental performance and concentration. Continuing with how hope and optimism are not just some fluffy things to say but traits of a winner mentality. That optimism based on reality that you can learn, adapt, change and figure out things destroys your anxiety and despair. Ultimately that flow state, deep focus and engagement on the task at hand, is the holy grail of performance and opposite with the expectation implies little activity on the cortex. You shoot down all your thoughts about the past and the future and immerse yourself through deep focus on the present (on the deep now).
