3 things that you are grateful for:

- For being able to eat (by myself)

- For what is now

- For this words

1 thing that you can do better:

- Being more awake

Notes:

Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate –C.G. Jung

“Pass through this brief patch of time in harmony with nature, and come to your final resting place gracefully, just as a ripened olive might drop, praising the earth that nourished it and grateful to the tree that gave it growth.” — MARCUS AURELIUS, MEDITATIONS, 4.48.2

There is so much beauty you take it for granted (inside and outside of yourself). See life like an artist. Every common and ordinary event has some beauty in it if you use the right lenses. Don’t overlook them next time, see the grace and harmony of what is.

How our social environment impacts our habits(chapter summary):

- The culture we live in determines which behaviors are attractive to us.

- We tend to adopt habits that are praised and approved of by our culture because we have a strong desire to fit in and belong to the tribe.

- We tend to imitate the habits of three social groups: the close (family and friends), the many (the tribe), and the powerful (those with status and prestige).

- One of the most effective things you can do to build better habits is to join a culture where (1) your desired behavior is the normal behavior and (2) you already have something in common with the group.

- The normal behavior of the tribe often overpowers the desired behavior of the individual. Most days, we’d rather be wrong with the crowd than be right by ourselves. If a behavior can get us approval, respect, and praise, we find it attractive.
