Roman Postnikov, co-founder and CEO of oneFactor, entered the Top 5 Russian entrepreneurs who are most successful in developing their business by selling AIrtificial Intelligence (AI) technologies. The ranking of “30 Most Successful Entrepreneurs in AI in Russia” was compiled by Rusbase. The rating includes companies that themselves develop and sell AI technologies. Business success was measured by the size of revenue for the past year.

“We can be called big data pioneers in the Russian market. At the same time, being the first in the market was not as difficult as it might seem at first glance. It is always much harder to catch up. Our team has been analyzing big data since 2011, when no one on the market spoke of Artificial Intelligence and automation as a mass trend, and was able to turn this into a profitable business. At the time of founding oneFactor, the company could not be called a standard startup: by that time we had already created the first commercially successful services based on big data, we had a complete understanding of the market, the team consisted of about 20 people and we had an investor. The company was founded in the fall of 2015, and the breakeven point was already reached in 2016, six months earlier than the business plan”, — said Roman Postnikov, co-founder and CEO of oneFactor. — Today oneFactor is developing a platform for telecoms and AI advisory services, primarily for banks. Back in 2014, we were the first in the market to launch a scoring service based on data from mobile operators for banks. Today, more than 80% of all loans in the countries where oneFactor operates, are issued using our service based on Machine Learning technologies. When we chose where to develop further, we realized that our technologies and data sources can be effectively used for other industries: insurance, retail, and the outdoor advertising market. For example, in 2017, the launch of our SmartIndex real-time outdoor advertising targeting and placement system based on Artificial Intelligence changed the traditional approach and revolutionized the DOOH market. And for retail, our geo-recommending service evaluates new locations for opening retail outlets taking into account cross-country ability and payback”.
