On a side note: After doing some research on the project, I thought the story of NEET by Heaven Labs actually relates to the anime ‘神様のメモ帳 (Kami-sama no Memo-chō)’. In the anime, the MC Narumi was convinced to join a group called NEET, which included unemployed detectives led by the skilled hacker called Alice. With their exceptional intellect and abilities, they worked together to tackle various crimes.

Developed by Heaven Labs, the NEET project represents a vibrant homage to the golden era of Japanese Anime Culture from the ’80s to the 2000s. Its aim is to establish a unique brand within the anime gaming community by leveraging blockchain technology, fostering creativity, collaboration, and the strong sense of unity often found within crypto enthusiasts. The team behind NEET consists of talented artists hailing from renowned anime gaming studios and is supported by solid connections in Japan — ensuring that users will have access to a professional and authentic anime experience.
Additionally, NEET’s vision revolves around promoting the industry of Japanese anime and utilising it as a wellspring for original content creation. The ultimate objective of the project is to bring tangible value to all NFT holders through the development of a real-time strategy game that embodies the essence of Japanese anime culture, similar to how DOTA or Cyberpunk revolutionised their respective genres.
Storyline of how NEET began 📚
NEET is set in the futuristic metropolis of Heaven City, where a stark gap exists between the wealthy and the poor. While the affluent live in luxury and abundance, the less fortunate struggle to make ends meet. However, this city is far from perfect as it is controlled by corrupt corporations and advanced AI systems that prioritise their own power and interests.
Amidst this bleak reality, a group of intelligent individuals known as NEETs emerges, dedicated to resisting the oppressive forces and uncovering the truth. They face numerous challenges due to the ruthless nature of the government and the AI systems that govern the city.
The narrative centers around the NEETs and their relentless pursuit of justice, as they strive to overcome the obstacles posed by the oppressive forces. The future of Heaven City is uncertain, and only time will reveal the outcome of their struggle.
What NFTs are they launching on OnePlanet? 🎨
The NEET team will be launching 10,000 NFT collectibles as a heartfelt tribute to the 80s-2000s Manga and Anime that have played a crucial role in shaping their passion for the industry. The supply is broken down into 6,000 mintable NFTs, 3,500 for airdrops and 500 reserved for events & promotions. They have chosen OnePlanet as the platform to ‘unveil these treasured gems, providing them with an esteemed stage and an enthusiastic global audience of collectors’, as quoted by their co-founder satoshinakamoto.
In addition, they will be introducing the NEET Heaven Battle!
Participants in this round will automatically be entered into a draw for a special airdrop. Furthermore, one of the minting stages during the launch will feature a ‘first mint first win’ battle, providing a final opportunity for early participation before the public minting phase. This opportunity is especially valuable for those who may have missed the Stage 1 Mint Whitelist, OG, and DAO stages.
Joining the Discord and completing this Airtable form are the only requirements for entry.
What is the Roadmap for NEET?📍
Heaven Labs’ roadmap is centered around establishing a strong NEET culture, rather than simply following a prescribed path. Phases 1–4 have already been achieved, with Phase 5 currently in progress!
✔️ Phase 1 involves the launch of the NEET Heaven website, the establishment of a social media presence, and the formation of partnerships with relevant projects and influencers.
✔️ Phase 2 aims to develop and integrate an engaging Discord bot with unique features such as lore quests and anime content.
✔️ Phase 3 shifts the focus towards creating a distinctive NEET token and staking platform that offers exclusive features and rewards to incentivize community participation.
✔️ Phase 4 entails the development of a SAAS tooling application designed to support NFT communities on the Polygon platform.
🔜 Phase 5 plans to create and produce an anime series connected to the NEET community, while also launching a corresponding NFT collection.
In addition to these milestones above, they also have aspirations to build a real-time strategy game in the future.
Who are the team members behind NEET? 👥
1. Amin: Founder and CEO at Fractal RED and NEET
Amin is a visionary entrepreneur with a rich background in the luxury industry, having worked with notable brands like Apple and Porsche. He has also lent his expertise to Capcom and Nintendo France, notably in the promotion of the Monster Hunter franchise.
2. Marwa: Co-Founder and CM of the project
With a notable contribution to the success of Crypto Raiders, she co-founded Fractal RED and NEET with Amin. She is currently pursuing a degree in marketing after acquiring a license in biomedical studies.
3. Gounesh: Chief artist at NEET
With an illustrious career spanning over 13 years, he has worked with renowned studios like Valve and Ubisoft, contributing to high-profile games like Dota and the Assassin’s Creed II series. He is a master of 2D and 3D visualization techniques, bringing his unique ideas to the virtual reality space.
4. Elie: Artist at NEET
Known for her exquisite landscapes and attention to detail, she has worked with prestigious companies like Blizzard Entertainment, Tencent Games, and miHoYo.
5. Josh: Developer and Qualified Financial Advisor at NEET
He brings over a decade of experience from the corporate finance and technological sectors. His expertise extends across the development and financial modelling of NFT and GameFi related projects on platforms like Solana, Ethereum, and Avalanche.
