There’s an abundance of coworking spaces in London and people are always asking for recommendations on the ‘best one’. Honestly, there is no straight answer and don’t rely on those who give you an easy reply, either they have something to gain or have yet to experience all the other options out there.

If you’re searching for the perfect coworking space then it’s down to you to make the choice based on your needs and personal taste. Here’s our top 5 picks for cool & creative coworking spaces based on the location, vibe and membership pricing.

Soho Works

New to the block Soho Works has recently renovated an old tea house in Shoreditch to one of the most beautiful and classy workspaces around. Part of the famous Soho House family, this is their first step into the coworking world and is part of their larger plans to launch two more offices in Istanbul & LA.

Location: Shoreditch High Street

Vibe: Cool, Classy & Creative

Membership: Starting from £475 per month for hot desking and up to £1,000pp for your own office.

Why We Love It: Members of Soho Works have the option to add food & drink bolt-ons starting from £60/mo for tea, coffee, snacks and up to £200/mo for an all inclusive package with breakfast, lunch and elevenses every day.

Central Working Shoreditch

Each Central Working claims to be unique with their own style and vibe that sets them apart from the other coworking spaces around town. The Shoreditch location in particular, is full of colour and provides an inspiring setting that will get you excited to come into work and set up your space.

Location: Shoreditch (Right in the middle of Old Street, Liverpool Street, Moorgate and Shoreditch High Street stations)

Vibe: Fresh, Young & Creative

Membership: Unlimited membership for £349 per month

Why We Love It: With a flexible membership plan and a focus on “getting things done better & faster”, Central Working provides an ideal space for a travelling entrepreneur looking for a cool and social place to work.

Club Workspace — Pill Box

With a growing collection of locations, Club Workspace is quickly becoming the cool kids on the block taking over all of London’s postcodes. Each location is selected and styled with care and the 13 different offices are widely spread so you can find the perfect one nearest to you. The Pill Box is our top pick due to its stylish interior and vibrant settings in Bethnal Green.

Location: Bethnal Green (Bethnal Green station)

Vibe: Industrial, Colourful & Open

Membership: Everyday Everywhere gives access to all their clubs, every day for £275 per month, or commit to one club and pay £325 per month for your own desk.

Why We Love It: Bethnal Green enjoys the benefits of being close to the bustle of Shoreditch whilst still offering cheap places to grab a bite. If you’re in need for a break, get some food to go and head to the nearby Victoria parks if the weather permits.

Huckletree

We love Clerkenwell and sustainable design, so HUCKLETREE was an easy choice for us. With a bright and airy space, Huckletree is ideal for the social entrepreneur who doesn’t mind sharing desks with others and has an interest in sustainability. Clearly others love Huckletree too and they’re set to open a new space in Shoreditch this April.

Location: Clerkenwell (Farringdon or Barbican station)

Vibe: Bright, Spacious & Cheery

Membership: From £350 per month for coworking and £450 per month for shared offices.

Why We Love It: Huckletree has a focus on sustainability, which is evident in the details, with furniture made from recycled material, energy-saving equipment and plants to spruce up the space.

Impact Hub Kings Cross

With a collection of 77 locations worldwide, Impact Hub’s growth model alone is something to admire. Having previously organised and run a hackathon with Unilever at Impact Hub Westminster in September, we became suckers for Impact Hub and love the design of their Kings Cross Hub.

Location: Kings Cross (Kings Cross station)

Vibe: Warm, Robust & Cozy

Membership: Starting from £20 per month for pay as you go and ranging up to £460 for unlimited space usage.

Why We Love It: Impact Hub is built around a community of social enterprises, environmental companies and sustainable business, which we think rubs off onto their happy and helpful team.

That’s it for our top picks, there are really far too many choices in London to include and if we missed your favourite one or you can think of another cool & creative coworking space to add, let us know! Honourable mentions go to The Trampery in Old Street for great design and location, WeWork who have a huge portfolio of offices and coworking spaces in London and The Office Group who are still relatively undiscovered and have a collection of beautifully designed spaces across the city.
