Broadcast videos from Dropbox and Google Drive with OneStream

OneStream is happy to announce another feature. Previously the maximum video file size allowed was 1 GB. Obviously that posed lots of problems for users who have high quality videos, since full HD or 4k videos can be easily over 1 GB but still be around 30–40 min long. Well not anymore. We have now added Dropbox and Google Drive as possible sources to select your videos. This means you can upload your videos from Dropbox or Google Drive that are even bigger than 1 GB. Maximum video size for files uploaded from local hard disk will still remain 1 GB.

One of the core features of OneStream has been that it is cloud based. We wanted to give our users an ultimate live streaming experience with greater mobility. You can upload and live stream your videos from anywhere in the world without the need to any special software or hardware. With this in mind ,integration with cloud storage was always going to be part of natural evolution.

How to upload videos from Dropbox or Google Drive

When you login to your OneStream dashboard click new stream on the sidebar

Now under video upload section you will see Dropbox and Google Drive icons.

1. Click either one to connect your Dropbox or Google Drive account to OneStream.
2. A new windows will open which will display your stored. Just select the video you want to broadcast.
3. OneStream will start to download your video to its secure servers and display the progress in the progress bar. (Yes your internet bandwidth will not be used and your internet connection speed does not matter anymore).
4. Write a compelling title , put a useful description, select a schedule time and click Create Stream.
