Well this is it; this is the first foldable smartphone ever in the world, even beating all the famous manufactures to it, especially Samsung. The new foldable smartphone is not the very best in aspects design or even the handling, but it’s a really amazing thing that something like this already exist, the idea behind a foldable smartphone is that you can increase the size of the display on the smartphone whenever you want, it will be really great for watching movies and stuff like that, and after you finished you can fold it up to its regular size and use it as a normal smartphone.
I really like the idea, and the Royole FlexPie delivers that idea in a really good way, but it’s not perfect as when you fold it to get the bigger screen the software doesn’t transform swiftly with the transition of the display, not only that but it gives you the feel of braking up when you fold it which not that good, when you fold it up to the tablet mood the screen is bigger at a 7.8 inches with a resolution of 1920×1440 pixels and when you get it back to normal it’s a compact device not as regular smartphones but to the idea of being a foldable smartphones its good for its size.
The good thing is that you can use both of the size of the display when the device is in the compact mode, and you can use it especially with the dual SIM mode for each side. The device has flagship level specs, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 coupled with 6 GB of RAM, Android Pie (9.0) with Water OS on top of it, it has a fingerprint scanner, a 3.55 mm audio jack and a 3800mAH battery that can be charged via USB Type C.
It does have a dual camera setup consisting of 16 MP wide sensor camera and a 20 MP telephoto camera, of course the device has only this camera setup and you can fold the device in a way to us it as a selfie camera, so there is no need for another camera setup.
The device is on sale in china for a $1300.
