August 3rd, 2018 — London, UK— Online.io, the platform that aims to revolutionize the Internet by unleashing it from ads, malware and tracking software, announces that they have finally reached their hard cap on July 31st, 2018.

This is a big milestone for the project, which has now raised $50 Million at the end of its Token Generation Event. Having started their pre sale on June 15th and selling a total of 1,825,005,543 OIO Tokens as of today, Online.io has been succesfully funded for development.

“My team and I have been hard at work developing the Online.io platform for the past year and now we welcome the first 4,000 early adopters and backers. Having reached our hard cap is just a small milestone in our huge roadmap as we bring immediate tangible benefits to the entire community of users and publishers,” said Iulian Alexandru Flores, CEO of Online.io.

The final results speak for themselves. With 3,476 contributors, the token sale passed through its $5 Million soft cap in a relatively short time and reached the hard cap on the last day of the crowdsale. The total of tokens that were sold do not include the company advisers and marketing tokens. The Token Generation Event only included the 70% of OIO Tokens that were available for the public.

The OIO Tokens were planned to be distributed as follows:

5% of OIO tokens were reserved for partner advisers.

10% of OIO tokens were allocated for marketing & loyalty purposes-

15% of total OIO tokens were reserved for the company.

70% were distributed to the OIO community.

One of the main reasons that may explain the huge support surrounding this project is the focus on benefiting both users and web operators alike. Whereas other similar projects only benefit one or the other, Online.io offers a solution that will get rid of advertisements without affecting the monetization of website owners. A solution that may change our internet experience like we know it.

Now, that the ICO stage has culminated, what can users expect from them?

What’s Next?

The plan is to launch the beta version of the Online IO platform in August, including the browser extensions. Following that, all tokens will be distributed to investors before September 15th, after the beta solution is released to the public.

The demo is already live for human detection, tracker detection and guardian source code — https://demo.online.io

About Online.io:

Online IO (OIO) is an extension that will be available for desktop and mobile devices that aims to make a groundbreaking change in the internet browsing experience. The platform will function to block advertisements from any website and to protect the user’s personal information from viruses, malware and tracking software.

Additionally, website operators will financially benefit from a new revenue stream that will replace the traditional ad revenue system of today, by monetizing the time spent by their visitors and being rewarded for engagement rather than clicks. In return, online users will experience a smoother navigation across the world wide web.
