In my opinion, Substack Notes, Substack’s internal social media network, is like a whole new genre of (short-form) writing, and I absolutely love it.
In addition, I add 250 new subscribers to my list with it every single month.
What is Substack Notes?
It’s a unique space where you can share mini memoirs, LinkedIn or X-style posts, repurpose your best-performing content from other platforms, re-stack your Substack newsletter stories, share links to other platforms such as YouTube without getting punished for it with zero views, or even pull snippets from your Medium stories.
What makes it unique for me is the spontaneity — I write Notes in the moment, whether I’m traveling with my family or pushing the stroller during the day. I’ve never done this before. I didn’t trust other platforms as much as I do Substack.
