Keyo’s global growth wouldn’t be possible without our business development team, who spend countless hours overseeing projects, making sales projections, and building great relationships with our customers.

In this edition of Life at Keyo, we’ll follow Enrique Mercado! From discovering new sales opportunities to nurturing relationships and exploring innovative ways to integrate the Keyo product into emerging industries, Quique is a vital member of the Keyo team! Let’s explore a typical day in the life of Quique.

A little about Quique:

  • Quique is from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, and has recently moved back after a couple of years living in Mexico City.
  • He has worked at Keyo for 5 years.
  • His favorite hobbies include motorcycling, streaming, and watching comedy podcasts.
  • He enjoys discovering new restaurants and food experiences. His most recent obsession is Thai food.
  • His favorite band is Greta Van Fleet, a band heavily influenced by Led Zeppelin.

8:00 AM — Quique kicks off his day with a hot shower, followed by his skincare and hair routine to maintain a youthful glow. He’s discovered the secret to looking 30 forever, and he’s not letting go! For breakfast, Quique prefers to delay his morning meal since he’s been intermittent fasting for 2 years now, but a steaming cup of freshly brewed coffee remains an absolute must to jumpstart his day!

9:00 AM — Quique starts by addressing messages on Slack and reviewing his calendar This helps him plan for the day and create space for impromptu customer meetings, while also gaining a clearer understanding of the customer pipeline for the day.

9:30 AM — It’s focus time. Quique starts by reviewing his priority list. This includes promptly responding to customers worldwide through various channels such as Email, LinkedIn, and Whatsapp. After gathering customer updates, he informs his team about critical action items and customer follow-ups, strategically planning and executing the next steps.

11:30 AM — During his lunch break, he takes some time to catch up on the latest news, both within Keyo and in the wider industry. It’s important for him to always be learning

1:00 PM — Starting early afternoon, Quique receives company updates regarding the action items discussed in previous meetings. He can then carefully summarize and prepare these updates to keep customers informed about the progress and status of their requests.

3:00 PM — Quique organizes his tasks for the next day and schedules meetings with customers who have contacted him through the Keyo landing page or other inbound channels.

4:00 PM — The moment Quique eagerly awaits — when his nephew comes to visit! It’s a special time of bonding, filled with magical artwork creations, playful adventures in the park, and other fun activities.

6:00 PM — During the early evening, Quique likes to hit the gym. He finds peace in spending some quality “me” time while lifting weights. It’s during these moments that he clears his mind and achieves the ultimate relaxation.

9:00 pm — Quique typically winds down his day after his workout by taking a refreshing shower, preparing dinner, and watching his favorite streamers on Twitch while dining at home. He looks forward to a rejuvenating sleep after a full day!
