It takes a talented and knowledgeable team to deliver industry-leading software solutions. In this edition of Life at Keyo we introduce you to Steve Vladimirov, our QA engineer.

Steve plays a critical role at Keyo, with an extensive range of responsibilities including creating QA plans, documenting and executing test cases, and conducting performance testing. With his exceptional problem-solving abilities, analytical mindset, and critical thinking skills, Steve stands out as a key player in delivering a seamless experience for Keyo members. Let’s explore Steve’s daily adventures at Keyo!

A little about Steve:

  • Steve is from Kharkiv, Ukraine but currently resides Calgary, AB.
  • His favorite hobbies include recording music and playing the guitar and bass.
  • He’s worked at Keyo for 1.5 years.

6:00 AM — Steve starts the day with a refreshing cool shower, followed by a steaming cup of freshly brewed black coffee to prepare himself for the day ahead.

7:00 AM — Steve jumps into the car, all set to start his special morning tradition: dropping off his daughter at daycare. This routine lets him enjoy some precious quality time with her before diving into a busy day at work.

7:30 AM — He begins his workday by checking new tasks, responding to Slack messages, and preparing a schedule to tackle the day.

8:00 AM — Steve starts getting hungry. He opts for a light yet energizing breakfast of pancakes with honey and more black coffee.

10:00 AM — Today, Steve’s day starts with a series of meetings where he collaborates with other members of the Keyo team. He starts with a meeting with his manager Bo, which is followed by a productive session with his teammates Dmytro, Andrii & Stanislav. Steve loves working with his team. They’ve bonded over their shared Ukrainian heritage and passion for technology. Steve appreciates that they can maintain high productivity while frequently sharing laughter and jokes.

12:00 PM — Focus time! Steve’s meetings end, so he dives into testing. His ultimate goal is to ensure that every customer or member of Keyo has a smooth experience with our software.

5:00 PM — As the work day winds down, Steve looks forward to picking up his daughter from daycare. She’s just as excited to see him!

6:00 PM — After dinner, Steve winds down with one of his favorite hobbies — playing his guitar. He often feels inspired while playing music and records his best ideas during this time.

7:00 PM — Late evening is all about family time for the Vladimirov’s. Steve loves hanging out with his wife and daughter, whether it’s watching cartoons or taking a dip in their pool. These shared experiences bring lots of laughter and create lasting memories for their family.
