In our Dev Diaries, we explore the ongoing enhancements and refinements to the MELDapp. Here’s this week’s progress:

MELDapp Enhancements — Cardano Chain:

  • EngageBay property value is now optional to avoid decoding failures.
  • Additional logs have been added to the reward service processing for better tracking and analysis.
  • An incremental delay has been implemented upon transaction submission failure to prevent double reward.
  • Code hash updating for user contacts on EngageBay has been fixed.
  • The system now backfills missing emails for registered users.
  • Validation of RPC change for the graph-node has been improved.
  • EngageBay interactions now run in a dedicated thread for better performance.
  • A missing GHC option in multisig was added to avoid server failure.
  • An internal tool to check Cardano era history has been developed.
  • Information about the old MELDapp has been updated, providing clear notice about old MELD token usage.

Integration Progress:

  • WalletConnect integration is underway, enhancing our MELDApp’s capabilities by enabling users to seamlessly integrate with other wallets. This significant step not only broadens the MELDApp’s utility but also allows users to utilize their MELDApp wallet within a myriad of other DApps, offering an enriched and flexible experience.

Wallet Improvement:

  • A new token hierarchy and banner information architecture have been established to enhance the display of total portfolio value, performance, each token’s amount, and its current value. This ensures improved interactions for users across the platform.

Front-end Improvements:

  • Error messages across the MELDapp have been improved with unified design and color for a better user experience.
  • The caching mechanism of the MELDapp FE has been updated, making it easier for users to see deployed updates.
  • The system now has an improved method for displaying Seed Phrases.
  • Default token icons have been set up to appear when the image is broken or not provided by the backend.
  • The new Seed Phrase improvement has also been applied to the sign-up page.

Bug Fixes:

  • An issue with the minimum value validation has been corrected.
  • The number format has been aligned to a standard approach for better readability.
  • Several bank signup issues have been addressed and fixed.
  • A verification process is now in place to ensure the user is using the right network in Metamask when sending out tokens.

Infrastructure:

  • New configuration parameters for our backend services have been deployed.
  • Internal permissions for our S3 buckets have been managed.
  • Firebase permissions for our app developer teams have been adjusted.
  • MELD.FI has seen new deployments.
  • Migration from Alchemy to Zeebe Ethereum endpoints has been accomplished.
  • New HTTP headers configuration options have been set for our presentations.meld.com website.
  • Internal documentation has seen significant improvements.

As always, thank you for your unwavering support. Your feedback is invaluable as we continue to innovate and refine the MELDapp. Keep an eye out for more updates in the coming weeks.
