There was hushed silence before shouts of delight as our testnet began purring after its launch the 10th of October. The Onomy team (but not the protocol) was overwhelmed with the support that flooded in from our tester community eager to get their hands on the first $NOM tokens and try out the protocol for themselves.

Over 800,000 transactions have been completed on the Onomy testnet to date, with $NOM trading above the notional price of $10. Such talk is unimportant at such an early stage, but it shows the enthusiasm for Onomy’s products.

Of the $NOM available, a full 2/3rds have so far been bonded with the Onomy mainnet, with nearly 100 million tokens locked. As for the Bonding Curve test, over 15,000 Goerli ETH has been deployed now in the bonding curve. We’ve recorded over 40,000 unique NOM addresses, 120K+ transactions on the Ethereum side, 12 engaged regional communities, and significant community growth over the last few weeks.

We are also tremendously grateful to our validators, Citadel. One, Forbole, Cosmostation, and the X-Chain Alliance, who acted as sentinels for the successful launch. We at Onomy are pleased to report that the testnet was a roaring success, and Onomy is ready to go.

Thank you to all our testers for your part in it. We’ll be shortly announcing cool things lined up for testers across our channels, so stay tuned! Now that the testnet has completed, our mainnet launch date is just around the corner. After years of building, tweaking, and tuning, Onomy’s cross-chain merging of TradFi and DeFi is about to launch, kicking off with the Onomy Network, Arc Bridge Hub, and Bonding Curve interface, and followed by the Onomy Exchange, Onomy Access Wallet, and stablecoin economy.

We’ll announce the mainnet launch date over the coming days, and everyone is invited to the interchain’s greatest launch party!
