Introduction of sTOS[EN/KR]

Hello, this is TONStarter, a decentralized launchpad platform for Layer 2 projects, developed by Tokamak Network.

TONStarter’s ‘DAO’ menu is now available.

On the DAO menu, through TOS staking, sTOS is issued, and users can participate in TONStarter agenda decision-making with sTOS.

Accordingly, we will inform you of TOS staking guide and sTOS issuance method and reward mechanism.

What is sTOS?

Staked TOS(sTOS) token can only be issued through the staking of TOS token. sTOS token is required to obtain the rights for decision-making or sharing additional profit made from the TONStarter platform.

Utility of sTOS

The utilities of sTOS are as follows:

• Airdrop reward distribution for all Starter project tokens sold through TONStarter
• Exclusive rights to participate in all sales that take place in TONStarter
• Right to participate in TONStarter governance

All rewards and rights are distributed proportionally to the amount of sTOS one holds. So to secure the most amount of rewards and rights, one must hold as much sTOS as possible.

The more sTOS one has, the more airdrop rewards for Starter project tokens one will get, and they can also get a higher tier for token sales participation. The details of the tier system will be released in a future post.

How to Get sTOS

The only ways to get sTOS are through staking and locking up TOS. sTOS functions very similarly to Curve Finance’s veCRV token. Unlike the conventional ERC-20 tokens, sTOS is non-transferable and should be understood as a type of point bound to an individual user.

Even if the same amount of TOS is locked, the amount of sTOS reward varies depending on the lockup period.(Depending on the time of calculation, errors may occur between 0.01 and 0.02.)

The details of this are as follows.

• 1 TOS, 3 year lockup period: 1 sTOS
• 1 TOS, 2 year lockup period: 0.66 sTOS
• 1 TOS, 1 year lockup period: 0.33 sTOS

In addition, as time passes and the initial lockup period decreases, the initial sTOS reward decreases as well. For example, let’s suppose a year has passed since a user first locked up 1 TOS for 3 years. At this point, this user will get the initial reward of 1 sTOS. But after a year, the user will get 0.66 sTOS which is equivalent to the reward for locking up 1 sTOS for 2 years, not 1 sTOS.

Regardless of the initial lockup period, the amount of sTOS reward one gets is determined by the remaining lockup period. Therefore, if one wants to maximize one’s sTOS rewards with the same amount of TOS token, one must continue to maintain a lockup period close to three years, the maximum lockup period.

Airdrop

TOS Airdrop rewards can be given to those who stake&lock up TOS and get sTOS before the launch of TONStarter’s Phase 3, IDO Platform launch. TOS Airdrop rewards can be distributed to sTOS holders in proportion to sTOS balances. Details of the airdrop event will be announced later.

TOS Staking Guide

Stake

The ‘Stake’ function allows the user to earn sTOS by staking TOS.

First, the user must check whether they have a sufficient amount of ETH (gas fee) in their wallet. After checking that there is sufficient ETH in the wallet, click Connect Wallet on the right side.

1. Click on the ‘DAO’ menu on the top side and click ‘approve’.
2. After clicking ‘approve’, click ‘Stake’.
3. Once the pop-up screen shows up, select the amount of TOS to stake and the lockup period. If you click ‘Customize’, the user can specify the lockup period themselves.(Month, Week)
4. After selecting the amount of TOS to stake and lockup period, click the ‘Stake’ button.
5. Once the transaction is approved in the personal wallet, you have successfully joined TOS staking.

Unstake

The ‘Unstake’ function allows the user to retrieve the ownership of TOS that the user has staked to TONStarter.

1. Click on the ‘DAO’ menu on the top side and click ‘Unstake’.
2. Check the amount of TOS that can be unstaked and click ‘Unstake’. The amount of TOS the user can unstake is the sum of TOS in all lockers where the lockup period has expired.
3. Once the transaction is approved in the personal wallet, you have successfully retrieved TOS.

Edit

The ‘Edit’ function allows the user to manage the TOS locker the user has staked to. With ‘Edit’ the user can increase the lockup amount of the locker and the lockup period.

1. Click on the ‘DAO’ menu on the top side and click ‘Edit’.
2. Select the locker you wish to edit and click ‘Edit’.
3. If you wish to increase the staking amount, click ‘Increase Amount’ and input the amount of TOS you wish to increase it by.
4. Click the ‘OK’ button. Once the transaction is approved in the personal wallet, you have successfully edited the locker.
5. If you wish to extend the lockup period, click ‘Extend Period’ and input the duration you wish to extend it by.(Only Month)
6. Click the ‘OK’ button. Once the transaction is approved in the personal wallet, you have successfully edited the locker.

sTOS란?

Staked TOS(sTOS)토큰은 오직 TOS 토큰의 스테이킹을 통해서만 발행되는 토큰입니다. 톤스타터 커뮤니티에서 실질적인 의사결정 권한을 갖거나 톤스타터 플랫폼에서 추가적으로 발생하는 수익을 공유하기 위해서는 반드시 sTOS 토큰이 필요합니다.

Utility of sTOS

sTOS의 유틸리티는 다음과 같습니다.

• 톤스타터 기반으로 세일이 진행되는 모든 스타터 프로젝트의 토큰 에어드랍 보상 분배
• 톤스타터에서 진행되는 모든 세일에 대한 배타적 참여 권리
• 톤스타터 거버넌스 참여 권리

모든 보상과 권리는 sTOS의 양에 비례하여 지급되기 때문에, 최대한 많은 보상과 권리를 확보하기 위해서는 가능한 많은 양의 sTOS를 보유해야 합니다.

실제로 유저가 보유한 sTOS 보유량이 많을수록 분배받는 스타터 프로젝트의 토큰 에어드랍 수량이 증가할 것이고, 토큰 세일 참여에서도 더 높은 티어를 부여 받을 수 있습니다. 티어와 관련된 자세한 내용은 추후 포스팅을 통해 공개하도록 하겠습니다.

How to Get sTOS

sTOS는 오직 TOS 토큰을 스테이킹 및 락업해 얻을 수 있습니다. sTOS는 Curve Finance의 veCRV 토큰과 매우 유사한 방식으로 작동합니다. sTOS는 통상적인 ERC-20 토큰과 달리, 전송이 불가능하며 사용자 개인에게 귀속된 일종의 포인트와 같은 개념으로 이해 부탁드립니다.

동일한 양의 TOS를 락업하더라도, 락업 기간에 따라 얻을 수 있는 sTOS의 수량이 달라집니다.

이에 대한 구체적인 예시는 다음과 같습니다.

• 1 TOS 3년 락업시: 1 sTOS
• 1 TOS 2년 락업시: 0.66 sTOS
• 1 TOS 1년 락업시: 0.33 sTOS

또한, 최초 설정한 락업 기간에서 시간이 경과해 남은 락업기간이 줄어들수록 최초로 얻은 sTOS의 수량도 계속 감소하게 됩니다. 예를 들어, 유저가 1 TOS를 3년간 최초 락업한 후 1년이 경과했다고 가정해보겠습니다. 이때, 해당 유저는 최초 락업시 1 sTOS를 갖게 되지만, 1년 후에는 1 sTOS가 아닌 2년 TOS 락업과 동일한 0.66 sTOS를 보유하게 됩니다.

이처럼 최초 락업기간과 관계없이, 남은 락업 기간에 따라 보유하고 있는 sTOS의 수량이 결정됩니다. 따라서, 동일한 TOS 토큰을 통해 최대한의 sTOS를 보유하기 원한다면, 최대 락업 기간인 3년에 가깝게 락업 기간을 계속해서 유지해야 합니다.

Airdrop

TOS를 스테이킹 및 락업하여 sTOS를 보유한 사용자에게는 추후 TOS 에어드랍 보상이 분배될 수 있습니다. TOS 에어드랍 보상은 sTOS 보유량에 비례하여 지급될 계획입니다. 자세한 사항은 추후 공개 예정입니다.

TOS 스테이킹 가이드

스테이크(Stake)

스테이크는 sTOS를 획득하기 위하여 TOS를 스테이킹 하는 기능입니다.

먼저 개인 지갑에 ETH(진행에 필요한 가스 수수료)가 있는지 확인하여야 합니다. 확인이 완료되셨다면, 우측 상단의 Connect Wallet을 클릭하여, 지갑을 연결합니다.

1. 상단의 DAO 메뉴를 클릭하고 ‘approve’ 를 클릭합니다.
2. ‘approve’를 실행 후 ‘Stake’ 버튼을 클릭합니다.
3. 팝업 화면에서 스테이킹 할 TOS의 수량, 락업기간을 선택합니다. ‘Customize’를 클릭할 경우 원하시는 기간을 직접 입력하실 수 있습니다.(월, 주단위)
4. 스테이킹 할 TOS 수량, 락업기간을 선택한 후 ‘Stkae’ 버튼을 클릭합니다.
5. 개인 지갑에서 최종 승인과정이 이루어지면, TOS 스테이킹에 성공적으로 참여하게 된 것입니다.

언스테이크(Unstake)

언스테이크는 톤스타터에 스테이킹 했던 TOS 소유권을 회수할 수 있는 기능입니다.

1. 상단의 DAO 메뉴를 클릭하고 ‘Unstake’ 를 클릭합니다.
2. 언스테이킹이 가능한 TOS의 수량을 확인하고 ‘UnStake’ 버튼을 클릭합니다. 참고로 언스테이킹이 가능한 TOS 수량의 경우 락업 기간이 끝난 모든 락커의 TOS를 합친 것 입니다.
3. 개인 지갑에서 최종 승인과정이 이루어지면, TOS 회수가 성공적으로 이루어지게 됩니다.

에딧(Edit)

에딧은 톤스타터에 스테이킹 했던 TOS의 락커를 관리하는 기능입니다. 에딧에서는 락커의 락업 수량을 증가시키거나 락업 기간을 연장할 수 있습니다.

1. 상단의 DAO 메뉴를 클릭하고 ‘Edit’ 을 클릭합니다.
2. 수정할 락커를 선택하고 해당 락커의 ‘Edit’ 버튼을 클릭합니다.
3. 락업 수량을 증가시킬 경우 ‘Increase Amount’를 클릭 후 증가시키려는 수량을 입력합니다.
4. ‘OK’ 버튼을 클릭합니다. 개인 지갑에서 최종 승인 과정이 이루어지면, 락커의 에딧이 성공적으로 이루어지게 됩니다.
5. 락커의 락업기간을 증가시킬 경우 ‘Extend Period’(월 단위만 가능)를 클릭 후 연장하려는 기간을 입력합니다.
6. ‘OK’ 버튼을 클릭합니다. 개인 지갑에서 최종 승인과정이 이루어지면, 락커의 에딧이 성공적으로 이루어지게 됩니다.
