The Announcement of Partnership with KDAC[EN/KR]

We have signed a partnership with KDAC (Korea Digital Asset Trust). KDAC is a digital asset custodial company that has been established by blockchain expert companies such as Kobit, Blocko, and Fair Square Lab. It also successfully closed a strategic investment from Shinhan Bank.
What is KDAC?
KDAC is a consortium digital asset custodial company in which Shinhan Bank and companies with expertise in the blockchain field such as Kobit, Blocko, and Fair Square Lab have made strategic investments. KDAC provides custody and operation services as to digital assets.
KDAC has signed a business agreement with Shinhan Bank, the №1 bank in Korea, and Bitgo, the world’s №1 digital asset custody company. Shinhan Bank is a prominent bank in Korea with a total asset of KRW 454 trillion, and Bitgo is the world-leading digital asset custody company, processing more than 20% of Bitcoin in circulation.

Technical advice in regards to Ethereum ecosystem
KDAC is pioneering the digital asset custody business through cooperation with the number 1 bank in Korea and the number 1 custody operator in the world. Unlike the Bitcoin ecosystem which is considered to be more stabilized compared to the Ethereum ecosystem, Ethereum is undergoing continuous changes with various issues such as DeFi, Ethereum 2.0, and EIP-1599.
Tokamak Network, which has been researching Ethereum since 2015, plans to provide advice and cooperation to help KDAC understand the Ethereum ecosystem in general so that KDAC can utilize public blockchains in order to expand various functions in the long term.
Technical advice in regards to Ethereum security and zero-knowledge proof
Tokamak Network is an Ethereum On-Demand Layer 2 platform, and we are conducting R&D to support various Layer 2 from Optimistic Rollup to Zk Rollup based on technical understanding of Ethereum 2.0 and zero-knowledge proof. Through technical advice on Ethereum and zero-knowledge proof, we plan to strengthen wallet security for KDAC’s entrusted assets and cooperate to expand various functions in the future.
This partnership with KDAC is the first partnership between Tokamak Network and a digital asset custodial company and is expected to be an opportunity to expand the business by being recognized for the technology of Tokamak Network.

KDAC은 국내 1위 은행과 세계 1위 커스터디 사업자와 협력을 통해 디지털 자산 커스터디 사업을 개척하고 있습니다. 하지만 어느 정도 안정화된 비트코인 생태계와 다르게, 이더리움 생태계는 디파이와 이더리움 2.0, EIP-1599 등 다양한 이슈와 함께 지속적인 변화를 진행하고 있습니다.
2015년부터 이더리움을 연구해 온 토카막 네트워크는 KDAC이 장기적으로 퍼블릭 블록체인을 이용한 다양한 기능적 확장을 할 수 있도록 KDAC의 이더리움 생태계의 전반적인 이해를 돕는 자문 및 협력을 진행할 예정입니다.
이더리움 보안과 영지식 증명에 대한 기술 자문
토카막 네트워크는 이더리움 온디맨드 레이어 2 플랫폼으로서, 이더리움 2.0과 영지식증명에 대한 기술적 이해를 바탕으로 한 Optimistic Rollup부터 Zk rollup에 이르기까지 다양한 레이어 2를 지원하기 위한 연구개발을 진행하고 있습니다. 이러한 이더리움과 영지식 증명에 대한 기술자문을 통해서, KDAC의 수탁 자산들에 대한 지갑 보안성을 강화하고 향후 다양한 기능에 대한 확장을 협력할 예정입니다.
