Today Ontology, a new high-performance public multi-chain project and a distributed trust collaboration platform, and GenkiCell, a Japanese blockchain technology pioneer, officially launched their strategic cooperation.

GenkiCell will work with Ontology to customize an application chain for its performance requirements and technical standards, in order to accelerate the implementation of the project and further build a decentralized health ecosystem. GenkiCell Chain and Ontology will also work together on investment, underlying framework customization, global industry resource sharing, Japan regional ecosystem construction, and joint promotion for an overall comprehensive and solid partnership.

Ontology’s “real economy” strategy, which targets building connections between the real economy and distributed digital systems, aims at enabling service providers from various industries to provide distributed services without complex systems and technologies.

Ontology’s distributed infrastructure can be connected with services for several application scenarios, integrating global and decentralized certification sources, connecting distributed digital systems with people, assets, objects, affairs, and other aspects of the real economy. This will build a trust system that integrates the real economy and the digital world, achieves comprehensive verification and authentication, provide users a better service experience, and brings stronger trust cooperation and efficiency to society.

GenkiCell Chain has received full support from the members of the blockchain innovation consortium, which is supported by Toyohashi City, to build a decentralized healthcare service for the city. In addition, Mr. Takuo Tateishi from the world-renowned Omron corporation’s founding family is a senior consultant of GenkiCell, supporting the project with both funds and IoT technology. At the same time, many other well-known Chinese and Japanese government organizations and research institutions support and assist GenkiCell, such as BIC, JCDA, and Juyaotang.

Through this cooperation, GenkiCell will accelerate the launch of Gen ID, which is an intelligent digital identity wallet dApp, as well as the Gen Scan universal multi-identity system based on Ontology blockchain technology. They are expected to be efficient tools which will innovate personal routine health data visualization and medical credentials. At the same time, this will also accelerate the development of the health data processing systems, the completion of a large health data trial platform, and the transformation of Toyohashi City into a smart medical city.

Talking on this cooperation, Shota Awata, CEO of Genkicell, said:

“This cooperation is not only the first deep contact between Japan and China in the blockchain industry, but is also a new trend of cooperation between Japan and China in response to the current international climate. As an advanced medical technology country, Japan is launching blockchain and large health applications by cooperating with world-renowned blockchain technology companies. This will bring a new revolution in the health industry and promote the development of health medical technology in Japan, China, and the rest of the world”.

LI Jun, Founder of Ontology, said:

“Earlier this year when we held our MainNet launch event in Tokyo, we were fortunate to have preliminary talks with Toyohashi City and the GenkiCell team. We were pleasantly surprised to find that we had shared understandings and expectations of the health industry. Recently we have gone forward with our cooperation and dApp development. I believe that with the support of parties such as Toyohashi City and Omron, Ontology and Genkicell will have a promising future in the medical/health industry”.
