Ontology Announces the First Batch of Advisors
Today Ontology, a new high-performance public multi-chain project and a distributed trust collaboration platform, announced the first batch of the Ontology Advisors Group (OAG). The advisors will provide a full range of strategic and industry consultancy for the Ontology ecosystem, and together support Ontology’s open-source, open-minded, and collaborative public chain and distributed trust ecosystem.
The first batch of advisors are as follows:
Shoucheng Zhang: Ontology Technology Research Committee Chief Advisor, Professor at Stanford University, and Chinese American scientist. Prof. Zhang’s main research fields include high-temperature superconductivity and the quantum Hall effect. Prof. Shoucheng Zhang joined the faculty at Stanford in 1993 and is now the JG Jackson and CJ Wood professor of physics. He also holds joint appointment in the department of applied physics and electrical engineering. He is a member of the US National Academy of Science, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and a foreign member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. For this ground breaking work he received numerous international awards, including the Buckley Prize, the Dirac Medal and Prize, the Europhysics Prize, the Physics Frontiers Prize and the Benjamin Franklin Medal, one of the most prestigious science prizes in the world, whose previous laureates include Albert Einstein, Madame Curie, Stephen Hawking, Thomas Edison, and Alexander Bell.
Prof. Zhang is the founding chairman of DHVC (Danhua Capital). He has made numerous angel investments into Stanford based startups including VMWare. He founded DHVC in 2013 to focus investments in startups from Stanford and Silicon Valley. DHVC’s investments focus on mobile internet, big data, AR/VR, genomics and precision medicine, sharing economy, and robotics.
At present, Prof. Zhang is deeply involved in blockchain technology and frequently publishes his influential insights into the industry.
Bin Zhang: Ontology fintech industry advisor, Chairman and CEO of China Chengxin Credit, and one of the founders of Union Mobile Financial Technology. Mr. Zhang has more than 20 years of extensive experience in internet, finance, and big data industries. Prior to founding Union Mobile Financial Technology, he worked for several internationally renowned high-tech companies including Microsoft, where he was the Marketing Manager. He was also General Manager of South China at Texas Instruments, Director for Nortel Networks, Vice President of Asia-Pacific for ARRAYCOMM, and more.
Xiangyang Yang: Ontology biotech industry advisor, Chairman of Shenzhen Yuanzheng Investment Develop Co., Ltd., and angel investor. Mr. Yang focuses on the development of innovative biopharmaceuticals, commits himself to the field of life sciences, leads innovation in biomedical technology, and provides better solutions for human life and health. He has participated in the establishment of nearly 10 biomedical high-tech companies such as Shenzhen Yuanxing Bio-pharm Science & Technology, and made accomplishments in gene therapy, immunotherapy, and stem cell therapy.
Andy Lim: Ontology Government Affairs Industry Expert. Mr. Lim is the Founder and Chairman of private equity firm Tembusu Partners and the Chairman and controlling shareholder of publicly listed company Viking Offshore & Marine Limited. He is also the Executive Director of Associated Leisure International, and Chairman of MoneyWorld Group of Companies, covering business in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, and New Zealand.
Mr. Lim’s other Board appointments include Chairman of the Overseas Experts Council (Singapore Branch) of Peking University’s China Centre for Strategic Studies, Board of Trustee of Honour Singapore, and a member of the Home Affairs Uniformed Service (HUS) INVEST Board of Trustee. He was President of the Enterprise 50 Association, a leading association of the top 50 privately held companies in Singapore, Chairman of Alpha Singapore, and a member of Industrial & Services Co-Operative Society Ltd (ISCOS).
Feng Li: Ontology TMT industry expert, Founder of FreesFund, and a former partner of DG Capital. Mr. Li focuses on investment in the education industry, TMT, high-tech, and other related fields. He has led investment projects in internet finance with CreditEase, Baifendian.com, Wacai.com, and other companies.
Junjun Sun: Ontology fintech industry advisor, Founder and CEO of Milestone Investment Management, Director of China Europe International Business School Private Equity Association, Independent Director of Shanghai DZH, Tsinghua University MBA, China Europe International Business School EMBA, and has previously served as General Manager of a securities brokerage firm and Director of a securities research institute. In 2001, Mr. Sun began his career in the investment industry, focusing mainly on investments in finance, artificial intelligence, and blockchain. Investment projects include Wind, Amarsoft, Hebei Yinong Network Technology, TaoData, and more.
