Developments/Corporate Updates
Development Progress
- Ontology’s integrated EVM design is fully complete, development is 100% complete, and testing is 70% complete. It is designed to be fully compatible with the Ethereum contract ecosystem.
- ETH RPC support is fully complete and testing is 95% complete.
- 98% of Ontology’s new Ethereum account system is now complete.
- The flow logic of optimizing transactions from the network layer to the transaction pool is now 100% complete, and testing is 10% complete. The transaction pool processing performance has been significantly improved.
- EVM assets and OEP-4 assets seamless transfer technical solution is 100% complete, and testing is 20% complete, which facilitates the conversion and circulation between OEP-4 assets and EVM assets.
Product Development
- This month, we released ONTO v3.9.2, which optimized the account creation process and “My Account” page, and added Polygon support.
- To celebrate the third anniversary of our MainNet launch, Ontology hosted an event on Twitter where our followers were given a chance to win one of 10,000 limited edition NFTs. Followers from the community actively participated, and all NFTs were claimed within 4 hours.
- Ontology hosted an NFT lottery with TWINCI, dFuture, and Billion Happiness. The TWINCI NFTs sold out in 30 minutes and the Billion Happiness NFTs sold out in 2 hours. The NFT giveaway with dFuture attracted over 5,000 participants.
- ONTO hosted events with BabySwap, ApeSwap, SWFT, and ACryptoS. The number of participants in the BabySwap and ApeSwap activities exceeded 1,000.
- ONTO hosted AMAs with Beefy Finance, DeFiner, TapSwap, Piggy Finance and Polygon. Each event attracted thousands of participants. For example, the number of participants in the Polygon AMA exceeded 5,000.
On-Chain Activity
- As of July 24, 2021, there have been 118 dApps launched in total on MainNet.
- There have been a total of 6,649,268 dApp-related transactions completed on MainNet.
- We recorded 30,386 dApp-related transactions in the past month.
- There have been a total of 16,024,483 transactions completed on MainNet,
- We recorded a total of 191,948 transactions in the past month.
Community Growth & Bounty
- July was another exciting month for community growth as we welcomed 1,522 new members across Ontology’s global ecosystem. As always, anyone interested in learning more about Ontology, please join our community!
- The Harbinger Program v2 continues and we are excited for new Harbingers to join us in further expanding and growing Ontology’s community and ecosystem around the world.
- We held our weekly Community Call on Discord, led by Humpty Calderon, our Head of Community, and we held Twitter Spaces sessions such as “Building Thriving Blockchain Communities” and “NFT Helps Copyright Protection”.
- The third anniversary of the Ontology MainNet was celebrated with a livestream on Twitter Spaces. Ontology team members and community partners appeared together to share technological, ecological and other global progress details.

Event Spotlight
It was all hands on deck this month with a string of news and developments:
- During the 3rd anniversary of Ontology’s MainNet launch, Ontology posted a series of reports and celebratory videos reviewing our history and achievements over the past three years. A retrospective activity was launched on social platforms, which attracted widespread attention.
- The article, Why Decentralization is Essential for Protecting User Data and Privacy, was published on Forkast by Li Jun, Founder of Ontology. He believes it is essential that businesses and individuals invest in decentralized solutions to store and manage data.
- On July 19, ONT was listed on Japanese FSA licensed exchange, DeCurret. Users can now trade the ONT/JPY pair with a Taker fee discount.
- Ontology announced a partnership with BlockBank, an AI-powered crypto application that combines traditional mobile banking with cryptocurrency and blockchain. ONT ID will be utilized in BlockBank’s V2 App, as well as DDXF, to help users stay in control of their data and privacy!
- Ontology’s Chief of Technology, Ning Hu, was invited to participate in the second Data Intelligence and Knowledge Service Seminar. He delivered a speech on “Blockchain and Digital Identity Supporting Knowledge Collaboration”.
- Our Chief of Ecosystem Partnerships, Gloria Wu attended a panel at the SME Finance Forum, managed by IFC, a sister organization of the World Bank. She explained how DID and OScore enrich the Ontology ecosystem and offer the opportunity to build a credit-based reputation on the blockchain.
