Ontology In The Media
Global Banking and Finance — Ontology Celebrates the Third Anniversary of Their Mainnet Launch!
Ontology celebrated the third anniversary of our MainNet launch at the end of June. To discuss this significant milestone, Li Jun, Founder of Ontology, was interviewed in Global Banking and Finance. According to Li jun, since our MainNet launch three years ago, decentralized identity solutions and secure data management have become increasingly important. Every day, individuals make millions of transactions online. Despite increased dependence on online services, privacy and security have not advanced in tandem. Every day, we see new data breaches involving the exposure of millions of users’ sensitive personal information, yet people rarely stop to question how companies and services are collecting and using their data.
At Ontology, we want to empower users to take back control of how their digital identity is managed online, where their data is stored, and how it is protected. Our mission is to provide a decentralized identity framework that uses blockchain technology to redefine trust and challenge the status quo.
KOREA IT Times — Exclusive Interview, Li Jun, Founder of Ontology: Public Blockchain Specializing in Decentralized Identity
McDonald’s customers in South Korea and Taiwan recently had their personal data exposed after hackers accessed internal files. In a statement, McDonald’s said it would work with security experts to identify ways to further enhance its existing security measures. Li Jun, Founder of Ontology, who was interviewed in Korea IT Times this week, believes that breaches such as this lay bare the need for companies to invest in decentralized blockchain solutions to ensure the highest levels of privacy and security when it comes to sensitive customer data. Individuals can protect themselves using Ontology’s decentralized digital identity solutions that allow them to control how their data is shared.
