Welcome to the Ontology 4th Anniversary Carnival! This year, we decided to let you OWN your own celebration. The celebrations are going to be great, with plenty of activities and prizes for you to earn. For all the new people here, welcome to our Ontology family, let us start with introductions.
In the four years that Ontology has been on MainNet, the focus has been on building the infrastructure and tools for Web3 via decentralized digital identity and data. With the growing popularity of Web3 and the Metaverse, the need for these solutions has become more important than ever.
To fully realize this solution, and to provide access to this exciting new iteration of the internet, we have recently launched our Ontology Web3 Network (OWN) infrastructure framework to enable barrier free development and access to Web3, the Metaverse and beyond. The OWN infrastructure consists of three solutions: the secure, fast and cheap public blockchain, a collection of out of the box protocols to speed up development and ensure compliant implementation of identity and data solutions, and tools to access Web3 and the Metaverse.
We thought that the best way for you to get to know the OWN infrastructure was to play a few games and reward you with ONG for taking part. What better way to celebrate our birthday? It’s time to explain how you can take part, in your OWN way.
The Ontology 4th Anniversary Carnival is made up of 6 events for you to take part in, each with individual ONG rewards. 4 of the events will also reward participants with special NFTs, and people who collect all 4 will also receive the ultimate 4th Anniversary NFT. In total there are up to 9300 ONG to be won, let us explain how.
Event 1: Fiendish Math Quiz (Rewards: 200 ONG)
We start off by warming up your OWN brain with our Fiendish Math Quiz. Can you solve the Ontology inspired puzzle, and be one of the randomly selected 10 winners who will win 20 ONG each?
Event 2: Let’s explore the Explorer (Rewards: 500 ONG)
Now that you’ve warmed up your brains, we want to help you to explore your OWN Ontology Explorer. We will be hiding questions linked to an Ontology blockchain address that we will publish. Use the Explorer to discover the questions, and then transfer the amount of ONG that corresponds to your answer.
All participants will receive the EXPLORER NFT for this event and 200 random winners will win 2 ONG each, with a further 100 ONG shared between those who answered all 8 questions correctly.
Event 3: Stake More to Win More (Rewards: 3000 ONG)
Ontology is a proof of stake network. This means your ONT can help secure the network, be an important part of governance, and earn you ONG rewards. This event is all about helping you to establish your OWN stake.
All participants will receive the STAKER NFT for this event, with the top 200 stakers, and top 3 nodes earning a share of 3000 ONG.
Event 4: A Bridge to the EVM (Rewards: 3000 ONG, $1000 CELR, $10,000 UP and $1000 WING)
The future of Web3 is multi-chain, and a key aspect of this is being able to bridge your tokens easily. This event is designed to help you bridge your OWN tokens, and make use of some of the protocols on the Ontology EVM.
You will have the opportunity to use cBridge, uTrade, and Wing Finance, and earn prizes for doing so! All participants will win the EVMER NFT, and 2500 ONG will be shared between the first 250 participants, with a further 500 ONG shared with those who use all 3 of our partners. Depending which partner you use, you also have the chance to earn $1000 CELR, $10,000 UP, and $1000 WING.
Event 5: I am the #xxx, I am Using ONT ID Since (Rewards: 800 ONG)
We’ve told you about us, and helped you to experience some of the things we do. Now, we want you to tell us about your OWN self. Tell us who you are, what you do, and when you first started using ONT ID — our digital identity solution.
There are 800 ONG up for grabs, and whilst we offer some advantage for the ONT ID OGs, anyone can win a share of the prize. If you haven’t already, set up your ONT ID and participate.
Event 6: DID in Web3 and the Metaverse (Rewards: 1500 ONG)
Now that you have set up your ONT ID in event 5, it’s time to see how it has been used to access Web3 and the Metaverse. The more Ontology chain transactions, NFTs, the more tokens you hold and stake, the higher your score.
All participants will receive the IDENTIFIER NFT, and the top 100 ONT ID users will share 1500 ONG.

If you have collected all 4 NFTs from our events, then you deserve the ultimate 4th Anniversary NFT.

We will also randomly select three 4th Anniversary NFT winners to receive a further 100 ONG each.
