General

What are the keystore.db and .dat files?

The keystore.db file is the file that OWallet uses to store all wallet information in. Users must back up this file and should not edit it.

The .dat file is a file that each individual wallet can export and be used as a backup file for the wallet. Also, the startup wallet for Ontology nodes is a .dat format file, so Ontology nodes can be started with the exported .dat file if needed.

Can I use my ONTO keystore to import a wallet into OWallet?

No, keystore in ONTO and OWallet use a different format. Please use your mnemonic phrase to import an ONTO wallet into OWallet.

Does OWallet support Linux?

OWallet v0.9.16 supports Linux. If you are a Linux Ledger user, please input the following into command line so you can connect your Ledger:

sudo ./sudo ./owallet-0.9.16-x86_64.AppImage
