First released in 1860 (yes,1860) the Game of LIFE takes players from marriage and children, to health issues and an unpredictable job market. Wealth depends on your spins (Luck) but most importantly the choices you make can end up being a greater factor on how well things go.

Another staple of money games… Monopoly teaches the value of investments, risks, and spending beyond your means. Players balance their spending and saving, while trying to avoid unexpected expenses. Newer versions of the game eliminate cash and rely solely on a credit card system.

The board game Payday, is designed as a calendar where players decide how many months to play as they race from paycheck to paycheck while trying to avoid a financial crisis. Savings and loans are part of the game.
