About the host: Mark Crislip, MD is an infectious disease doctor and Chief of Infectious Diseases in the Legacy Health hospital system in Portland, OR. He is a staunch advocate for science-based medicine and produces two other podcasts, QuackCast and PusCast. His media empire is such that he has his own Wikipedia page.
