Opacity has completed the updates to accept OPCT token payments. You can now use OPCT for payment and upgrades on opacity.io!

Additionally, OPCT is available on Uniswap. Try out the Uniswap dex to get some OPCT and set up your Opacity storage account!

This is a tremendous milestone for Opacity and opens up many opportunities for dexes, token swap wallet support, and mobile features. We purposely spent a lot of time getting it right and everything has gone smoothly. Primary exchanges have been operating without issue, token holders have been performing swaps via the site, and now payments are enabled and we can move forward towards Opacity 2.0 in 2021!

Reminder: Deadline to use the website swap service will be 12/31/2020.

What’s on the Radar?

We have several items in the pipeline that will launch us solidly into 2021.

2 Whitepapers

  • We will be updating the metadata structure to create a more robust platform hierarchy that will also better support decentralization. This will be outlined in a whitepaper and implemented in the system.
  • Decentralization whitepaper which will include details for decentralized storage and storage node governance. This can be expected soon after New Year!

Headline Features

  • Mobile designs have been started in parallel with the token swap implementation. We have a good foundation and will start development in the new year.
  • Public preview has been a priority for quite some time, and we are finally ready to focus on this in the short term. Expect to see progress soon!

2020 Closing

2020 has been an interesting year to say the least. We are heading into the holiday season and we will allow the remaining swap period to proceed before any new major updates.

As we head into this season, we wish everyone to remain healthy, to enjoy time with family (remotely!), and we look forward to taking Opacity to new heights in 2021!
