Continuing focus on growth and user traction

tl;dr: Overall, site traffic and platform use continues to rise. We will be launching new advertising campaigns in the coming weeks to maintain healthy pace of growth.

Accounts

Growth in plans of all sizes continues to rise, gaining ~20% overall in September.

  • Total Plans increased from 859 to 1011
  • Free Plans increased from 350 to 478
  • 128GB Basic Plans increased from 377 to 384
  • 1TB Professional Plans increased from 105 to 115
  • 2TB Business Plans increased from 27 to 34

Site Engagement

Engagement metrics remain very healthy with growth in the China market and increased use of our sharing capabilities.

Active users on-site has steadily increased:

Many people are visiting Opacity from China. We believe the Chinese people can benefit greatly from our privacy services. Both China and India represent large population demographics that can explosively increase platform exposure.

We have hosted over 22K users since site launch on June 5, 2019. The pace has remained steady and increasing. ~20% are return visitors which shows strong interest and user retention. Average duration and Bounce Rate are both comparable to industry levels.

~62K pageviews in 4 months, ~50% driven by our Share page. We believe this will become a strong catalyst for a viral marketing platform that we can leverage to enable more exposure for Opacity’s private sharing capability. There were ~20k Share pageviews in September alone, which shows increased adoption of Opacity as a go-to for sharing files privately.

Coming in October

We are expecting a few key features to be delivered this month.

  • Gift Cards integrated as a payment method. This is an important revenue stream as we sell gift cards through standard retail channels, similar to other storage providers.
  • Upgrade/Renew Plan so members can upgrade to a larger account and take full advantage of the desktop sync app and additional storage, as well as extend their subscription past the initial 1 year.
  • Upload folders with files for easier upload management and convenience.
  • Launch Advertising Campaigns in order to continue to increase site traffic, plan sign-ups, and continue focus on user traction.
