Although one could still have privately hosted paste texts.Although one could still have privately hosted paste texts. Rather surprising to learn that Medium is censoring people. Never heard this before but one can never be warned about life enough.

The Magic of Medium

The Magic of Medium

“A network where words might be discovered yet they have their own space” is where Medium wins hands down among all web enabled social…interaction sites. At least this is where I find the magic of Medium. As an unknown humble user, this is for me Medium’s distinction from every other social networking site. If I am a non-entity who feels that he should be listened to and I have something to say, for me, Twitter is too busy a channel, and Facebook is too restrictive and chatty. ¶ Medium has cracked open a sweet spot of a window of opportunities for all across a spectrum.

Where Medium shines compared with other social media

Where Medium shines compared with other social media

Dustin Hurst writes,“Can a social network really elevate debate and allow willing participants to intelligently trade ideas? Can Medium succeed where, arguably, Facebook and others have failed miserably?” ¶ Fair to say that Medium does that already. I believe Medium will continue to shine as long as it will uphold its current policy on comments. Medium focuses on the text over people and that is a good thing, IMHO. ¶ Think about the “notes” feature.

This I learned on writing from Medium

This I learned on writing from Medium

Use everyday language. Be precise. Avoid purely decorative or cool-sounding words. Use images to convey meaning (like a wheelbarrow or a…chicken!), but with concrete details, not abstractions. Be direct. Distill meaning to its core. ¶ If there’s one thing you should read on Medium today, I bet this is it. Medium is my inexhaustible resource of good writing. Good writing advices, words to the wise. In Medium, from @Tom Farr , I learned the craft of how best to tell your story. Three steps, no big deal: ¶ Create an outline. ¶ Write x words in y minutes and write as much as you can in y minutes.
