The Azure $25 Dollar Challenge

What can you do with $25 in Azure? Ian Philpot, Sr. Technical Evangelist at Microsoft, breaks down all the different things you can do!

There’s no limit (until you hit $26, that is) to what you can do!

Here are a couple of highlights from this list…

• It looks like you can build, train and test pretty complex algorithms using the free tier of Azure ML.
• You can run a pretty beefy HDInsight Cluster for near a week!
• While not “really” listed here, you can run a Basic Azure SQL database for 5 bucks… it’s only 2GB, still not bad.
• You can run a D2 Windows box for more than two weeks
• Five Linux D11 boxes for a full day

Hopefully this paints a pretty clear picture that $25 dollars a month can go a long way.
