Our choice of Medium

Why Medium? In developing this module, we wanted:
- OKHE materials to be openly available
- for you — and anyone — to be able to engage in open knowledge sharing and discussion while exploring this module
- for your engagement to contribute to OKHE
- for every contribution to OKHE to be published with a license of the author’s choosing, not necessarily all the same
- to focus on your ideas and discussions, rather than technical abilities
- to avoid creating ‘single-serving blogs’. A Medium account is not a blog, but it allows you to write. Medium will not look stale without your writing.
We wanted to choose a platform which met our requirements, and while Medium may not be an obvious online learning platform to many, it is to us.
