Dear Cat Haters

How would you like it if you got ridiculed for your pet choice? I bet that you would be mad but that’s how you make us cat owners feel whenever you say “Why did you get a cat” or “Cats are evil” this is why you should think first about what you say because dogs are just as bad or worse.

Dogs do their business on the floor or on the couch so you basically have to guess when to take your dog out and you also have to take your dog out what if you sleep in your dog with just go wherever it wants. Now on the other side cats use the litter box if they need to go as they don’t have to wake you up they just go. Which is better having a nice sleep and waking up to cleaning out a litter box or having a normal sleep and waking up to the smell of poop in the mourning. Then on top of the having to clean it up and spending hours on trying to get rid of the smell.

So let’s say that you just want to lay down and sleep all day with a cat you can do that fine but with a dog, it’s a lot more difficult. Let’s say your laying in bed the most a cat is going to do is get up on the bed and ask for a pat or just lay next to you, but with a dog, it would want to play it would bark and jump around begging to run or go for a walk. So you would have to get up get changed prepare the dog then go for a walk with the dog. If a cat wants to play you can stay in your pajamas and even lay in bed and play with it.

Let’s say you have a very playful dog but it’s also very rough you might buy it a new toy and it might break it in the first 10 minutes. Now a Playful cat even if it is rough will make the toy last months. Let’s say you just bought your dog an expensive toy and it loved the toy but since it’s so rough it just ripped up the toy. A cat, on the other hand, would preserve the toy and something that you spent like 100 dollars on for a cat could last over a month while for a dog that 100 dollars might only last a week. Another thing would be food it’s the same for both cats and dogs that if you have a big cat or dog it will eat more then small cats and dogs but even without the size a dog will still eat more than a cat and the food, in the long run, will cost more.

In conclusion cats are better than dogs in a multitude of ways yes both have their goods and their bads but in the end, owning a cat is easier than owning a dog. Next time you’re going to say something to a cat owner about dogs being better to consider what they could say about dogs.

Sincerely,

Cat Enthusiast
