I am here today to tell everyone that even though classical music may seem boring, confusing and bad, it actually can benefit the body in many different ways. Did you know that listening to classical music can actually ease chronic pain? Or did you know that classical music can help express your emotions? If you didn’t know any of that, continue reading to find out more benefits classical music can bring you.

According to a study conducted by scientists, listening to classical music can actually trigger positive chemical reactions. By listening to classical music, you can relieve stress and anxiety due to homework. By doing so, you can drastically improve their grades, but more importantly, have a better and more happier lifestyle. Classical music can also make you more productive, and this kind of music also even increases the efficiency and accuracy of the work you’re doing. This has a direct connection with the human brain, but how does classical music affect the most important part of your body?

During a study in Northumbria University in the United Kingdom, a research team performed some experiments on students brain functioning when doing tests while they listened Vivaldi’s Spring Concerto. Students also listened to the Autumn Concerto, which was much more slow paced and sad. The team of researchers found out that students had better, more accurate, and faster answers while listening to the Spring piece. This was because the Autumn Concerto was much more slow paced and sad. The conclusion to this study was that your brain activity is improved when listening to pleasant and arousing stimuli. So if you want to refresh your memory, have a listen to the Spring Concerto. This would help you after an action packed day at school, and it would help students refresh their memory and help them get ready for another day at school. But for another productive day at school, you need to have a good night’s sleep, so how does classical music affect your sleep schedule?

In a study conducted by researchers in 2006, found that that students with sleep disorders slept better when they fell asleep to classical music than those who didn’t conk out to normal pop music. Try music that has a regular rhythm, low pitches and tranquil melodies, qualities that are believed to help you get a better night of sleep. This proves that you can be directly affected in a positive way at school since they are getting more sleep at night, and all of this is because of classical music. If you want to feel refreshed and have a good sleeping schedule, try listening to classical music while you sleep or before you sleep and see how your body reacts to it.

All of these beneficial effects are proven to make you have a more positive, outgoing and happy lifestyle. Classical music simply receives hate because people either have never listened to it before because they think that it is “boring”, or because you don’t know all the healthy options listening to classical music can help you, or even because you have just chosen to jump on the “I hate classical music” bandwagon train. So I urge you, no matter if you’re in elementary, secondary and high school or even kindergarten, classical music is proven to help you throughout life. So what are you doing? Start listening!
