Kpop Idols Should Help Social/Environmental Causes
Dear Kpop Idols,
Today more than 100 million people are fans of K-pop. In comparison, PewDiePie has just 66.7 million subscribers today. In the United States, it takes just 100,150 signatures to get Congress to respond to a petition. Your fans are more than the population of South Korea itself. Just think of all that you could accomplish with help from your fans. Members of my own family are your fans. If you told them to help the environment or promote human rights they would right away.
You should ask your supporters to help save the environment, asNGOs such as the World Wildlife Fund, Plant A Tree Today Foundation, and many others could do so much good if you simply ask your fans to support them. Take WWF for example. They need monthly donors and people to sign petitions. So at the end of the day, Yyu don’t even need to ask your admirers to pay anything, only to say that they support a petition. Additionally, image what would happen if all your fans quite animal-products. The demand for such products would drop exponentially, cutting off the cycle of animals being born into terrible conditions and living lives full of misery and pain, never knowing love and happiness. It is clear that environmental groups all over the world could greatly improve the world with you and your fans support.
It would just take a request for your fans to begin helping and supporting people’s rights across the world. Like I stated before, in the US it only takes 100,150 signatures to get Congress to respond to a petition, while your fan base has more than 10 times that, so you could simply ask your fans to support human rights movements across their countries. When Youtubers like Markiplier ask their fans to donate to a charity or buy their products and they always pull through for their people. You have seen this with your own fans supporting you at concerts and by buying your merchandise. Again, social groups like TOMS, TeachAIDs and Elephant Parade all need the support of people to donate and to sign petitions to change harmful laws. Because of this, I believe that you could absolutely change the lives of millions around the world with a simple request to your followers.
You may say that you are already helping a lot, but at the end of the day, there is so much more that could be done. But, the projects that you have already done or are working on, frankly aren’t enough. The environment is suffering and so are many people around the world. Some women in Italy are only paid 1 euro every hour, in some villages in Africa people have to walk a mile just for some water. People in prisons all over the world suffer even when they may not be guilty. Your fans have already proven to you again and again that they will come through for you, and you are known across the whole world, so even if you can’t get people to help you through your projects, you could still spread the awareness necessary to accomplish amazing things.
Imagine all the animals you could save, the lives you could change and the problems you could solve. The Earth need everyone to help, and you can start that change with just one sentence so from the bottom of my heart please use your power to change this world for the better.
