Technology Should Slow Down
DEAR HUMANS,
Don’t you think technology is going so fast you feel like your way behind? That is because technology is developing so fast that when you buy a phone or something a month later there will probably be another phone from another company that has more advanced technology. There are many things that technology is helpful with which could be improving efficiency when doing things, remind you when to do something in case you forget, talk to people whenever you want and many more. However, there are many things that can be bad regarding technology including technology malfunctions, addictions and people making bad decisions and robots that can be harmful.
The first Reason why technology is going to fast and is bad is that when Sapporo had an earthquake the entire city lost a lot of things which including their technology, electricity and E-banking. The outcome of that caused people to not be able to pay for things because some people keep all their money in the E-bank so they can’t buy anything unless they have cash. Another bad thing about technology becoming too fast is because in the future everything will need technology and if the main power source is messed up then everything won’t be possible to use because there is nothing to power. Which I can’t imagine because that hasn’t happened to me before and to think about it makes me depressed because if everyone needs technology and not having a technology for one day will make someone go crazy worries me.
Don’t you think the more advanced technology the smartphone has the more you become addicted to it? Which makes it really hard for you to not use your mobile phone correct? According to Washington (Reuters) Drivers that get distracted by talking or texting on a mobile phone killed around 16,000 people during 2001–2007 and most of these people are under the age of 30 imagine all the life they could have had with the person the driver was texting and it has been wasted because of someone using the wrong thing at the wrong time. Since the technology was so fast and whenever something happens the words spread really fast well same as the kiki challenge where you jump out of a moving vehicle and dance to a song called in my feelings. If you don’t think that it is dangerous to put this into perspective if you were a driving car and someone came out of a car would you be able to stop in time? Well, in reality, some people did this challenge and got seriously injured, fined and some even died.
If you think what I say is wrong then think about the future how robots are basically going to take over the world. You won’t even be able to have social interactions because even right now everyone is looking at their phones even if they are supposed to talk in a restaurant. The reason why people are eager to say whatever they want online is that they aren’t scared that there will be consequences unlike talking to someone face to face. The reason why it is bad for robots to take over our jobs is that people will have fewer skills since robots are doing everything for us. The only reason why people are making robots do things for them is because they are lazy. A big part of robots being bad is that anyone can own a robot so they can programme it to do chaotic things.
Overall, I can say that technology is really helpful and can make a lot of people’s lives much easier. Conversely, I believe that the technology right now is perfect because anymore advance breakthrough regarding technology can corrupt the entire planet. Therefore people should stop inventing things and instead be satisfied with how things are now unless they no social interactions and the earth to be pointless. What I mean by that is people will become addicted to their devices and make people shyer to do things in real life so there is no more reality and there is just technology. No one should want that unless you enjoy living with a computer instead of a partner.
