Dear Strugglers,

I know how you feel.

You wake up, and you immediately wish you didn’t have to. The world is nothing but a blur of Formula 1 cars rushing by. If you live in the city and sleep with your window open, you can hear them racing to work in the distance.

To step out into that is heart-gripping.

I know how it feels. However, that doesn’t mean we aren’t strong enough to step out and face it. Every day I too wake up and wish I didn’t have to move. Sometimes, my depression is so bad I feel like I have the body of a giant. I am only small, yet, I cannot seem to shift.

My head often pounds like Mike Tyson searching for the knockout blow. It comes and goes. When it comes, I ready myself for the worst.

Trust me when I say this: If I can do it — if I can move forward — so can you. If I can persist with my day-to-day — you can too. We are human beings. No one is perfect. No one has nothing to battle in their minds: we all have conflict.

Sometimes, my mind feels like the beginning of a nuclear war: the terror and realisation of a panic attack. The question is: should I fight or fly away and release my soul from this world.
